Tower Gallery Presents Naked Paper
PHILADELPHIA, PA (July 6, 2007) — Tower Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of NAKED PAPER, a group exhibition featuring work by Corey Antis, Stephanie Beck, Kellyann Burns, Michael Ciervo, Christopher Davison, Kip Deeds, Alexis Granwell, Jackie Hoving, Tasja Keetman, Matt Neff, John Olivieri, Norm Paris, Keary Rosen, Hiro Sakaguchi, Caroline Santa, Randall Sellers, Nancy Sophy, Hunter Stabler, Jina Valentine, Christopher van Auken, Eva Wylie, and Mauro Zamora. The exhibition will be on view from July 12 to August 24, with an opening reception on Thursday, July 12, 2007. The reception is free and open to the public.
Works in the exhibition are displayed unframed in a salon-style fashion throughout the gallery. Artists use a variety of techniques, including etching, printmaking, drawing, painting, and collage. Artists Hunter Stabler and Stephanie Beck display intricate paper cutouts; Christopher Davison combines a series of drawings in book form. Tasja Keetman, one of two New York-based artists in the show, uses handmade paper to create an interactive installation piece hung from the ceiling.
Tower Gallery shows the work of both emerging and established artists. Tower Gallery is located in the heart of the East Girard Arts District at 969 N. 2nd Street in Philadelphia, PA.
